Repair & Upgrade Services

Backed by over 50 years experience, our services include repair, rework and replacement of PIV Chain, gears, shafts or other internal components, or the upgrade of entire transmission or gearbox assemblies now in the field. In fact, our customers are delighted when their Specon® and Cubic® products in service for several decades may be economically repaired to like new working condition at our North Carolina facility. Although we specialize in Specon® PIV chain transmissions and Cubic® Planetary gear drives, we have the capability and expertise to repair virtually any mechanical variable speed drive; including the major domestically produced mechanical PIV variable speed chain drives such as Rexnord®, Link-Belt®, P.I.V.®, AC Compacting® or other manufacturers. Please contact the factory for interchange or repair information concerning Link-Belt® PIV transmissions or other manufacturers' units. Fairchild maintains an extensive inventory of OEM original housings, gears, PIV replacement chains, wheel faces, bearings, seals, couplings, clutches, shafts and other parts to provide parts to you quickly at a competitive price.

Fairchild offers three levels of Repair for the typical PIV Chain or Cubic® Planetary gear drives:

Level I: 1 year warranty We Inspect, clean, replace bearings, seals, chain, provide all necessary adjustments, and set up for proper operation. This type of repair can be performed on Fairchild products and typically can be done on mechanical PIV variable speed chain drives made by Rexnord®, Link-Belt®, P.I.V.®, AC Compacting® or other manufacturers.

Level II: 2 year warranty Level II repair includes all steps of Level I and we additionally provide all new or refurbished internal components such as wheelfaces, gears, shafts and all other parts. The repaired product is truly in a \"like new\" condition appropriate for the 2 year warranty. Generally this level is applicable only to products originally manufactured by Fairchild.

Level III: 2 year warranty; This Level would be an all new replacement unit. This replacement level service includes Fairchild products and can also be done for most mechanical PIV variable speed chain drives made by Rexnord®, Link-Belt®, P.I.V.®, AC Compacting® or other manufacturers.
